Longchamp

When Julien and Gaspard purchased this 180m² apartment in Marseille's Longchamp district, they immediately recognised its incredible potential. Rich in character and original architectural details, the apartment simply needed thoughtful care to become a home that reflected their family's way of living.

Their ambition was never to reinvent the space, but to celebrate its Haussmannian heritage while adapting it to everyday life with their young daughter. Preserving the apartment's soul guided every design decision, restoring original features wherever possible and introducing new interventions that feel as though they have always belonged. Custom wall mouldings were added to complement the existing architecture, while Versailles parquet with delicate brass inlays now flows throughout the main living spaces, reinforcing the timeless elegance of the home.

Functionality was equally important. A former bedroom was transformed into a generous dressing room with floor-to-ceiling bespoke cabinetry, offering dedicated storage for the couple's wardrobe. The office was designed as a flexible space, featuring a custom library that discreetly conceals a Murphy bed, allowing it to effortlessly become a welcoming guest room whenever needed.

Both bathrooms were completely reimagined, each with its own distinct personality. Soft handcrafted-style tiles, terrazzo flooring and warm timber joinery create inviting, contemporary spaces that remain in harmony with the character of the apartment while introducing subtle moments of colour and texture.

The result is a home that feels both timeless and deeply personal—one where carefully restored architectural details coexist effortlessly with bespoke contemporary design, creating a warm and elegant setting for the family's next chapter.
